The first round of the playoffs have come to an end and man were they fun to watch. Games like the Grizzlies and Timberwolves, or maybe the Jazz and the Mavericks, have been a thriller to watch. But now it is time to advance to round two. The teams strong enough on the Eastern side are the Celtics, Bucks, Heat, and 76ers. On the whole opposite side in the Western Conference, the teams are the Suns, Mavericks, Warriors, and Grizzlies. So, lets jump into this.
This matchup has always been a fun game to watch. With Steph Curry and Ja Morant going at it on a 1 to 1 match up, what else could you ask for. Through game 1, the Warriors were able to take home the win by the skin of their teeth. Klay hit a clutch three, giving the Warriors a one point lead with about 30 seconds left in the game. The Warriors played tough defense and were able to get the ball back and the Grizzlies really had not other choice but to foul. So, Klay had the chance to shoot free throws. Unfortunately for both the Warriors and the fans, Klay had missed both the free throws giving the ball back to the Grizzlies and still only up by one point. Getting the ball back, Ja got the ball and drove through the lane for the easy left hand layup and the game winner, and he has missed it. After what seemed to be a crazy game, the Warriors were able to push through and take home the first win on the road. Last night, the Grizzlies were able to take the win over the Warriors. Ja Morant went on a run to score 47 points against the dubs.
Mavericks VS. Suns
The Mavericks and Suns is going to be a pretty good series to watch as well. With the talent of Luka and Devin Booker, this should be a fun series to watch. As of right now, the Suns are up 1 game to none. With the dynamic of CP3 and Devin, it is going to be a hard force to stop. But Luka and Dinwiddie are the force can stop that Duo from running away with this series. Deandre Ayton is also a player that that the Mavericks are going to have to contain. Yes, they have Boban who is 7'3". But I believe many fans things that Ayton is more athletic than Boban. So they need to be able to slow him down so that they have a chance to win a game in this series. Overall with the amount of talent that each team has, there is not reason that this series will not be entertaining. This series continues tonight on ESPN at 10:00.76er's VS. Heat
As many Sixers fans know now, Joel Embiid is out for the first two games of this series. So, the Sixers are going to have to someone close in value to Embiid. After game 1 the Sixers have a lot of things to work on for game two. One would be rebounding. The Heat had the game won by just getting rebounds. They had out rebounded the Sixers on both the offensive and defensive side of the spectrum. The Heat also beat the in the scoring realm as well. The Sixers were not effective shooting deep and were taking low percentage shots. Bam and Tyler Herro put up the majority of the points due to being able to obtain a major amount of rebounds. The Sixers just seemed to struggle and need to breathe and focus and hope that their MVP big man is back for game 3.
Bucks VS. Celtics
Bucks and Celtics are two explosive teams. Giannis can run the floor on both offense and defense to keep the stride going for the Bucks. The Celtics have that Duo in Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum to run their defense. Each team is at a game a piece right now and the next game between these two teams is on May 7 at 3:30 p.m. Each game has had a lop sided victory for each team. In game 1 the Bucks took home the win with a score of 101-89. Then the next game was the Celtics taking home the win with a score of 109-86. I believe with the amount of talent each team has, this is going to be a series to watch. So grab your popcorn and get ready for Saturday!
