Things you didn't know about Jerseys

So many of us here all probably have an NBA jersey. Some of our favorite player, and others just to collect them. There are many things that I am sure people do not know about jersey's that may like to know for the future. Jersey Swap Like for instance, James Harden has many jerseys throughout his years. Like when he was on the Thunder, or whenever he played for Houston . These jerseys are cool in all, but you'd rather be rocking his current team's jersey. So, a cool thing that the NBA offers is that if a player happens to get traded to a different team, you can trade in your current jersey for a brand new one for the team he has been traded to. So, if you happen to trade Harden's jersey in, then you could get his most recent one in which he plays for the 76er's . Any current player's that have been traded throughout the years, you have the opportunity to send this to the NBA and get a brand new one for free. If you are not big into collecting jerseys and just ...

The Battle Begins

As many fans are aware right now, the Celtics and Warriors are the two teams that that were fortunate enough to make it to the NBA Finals. Both teams had some pretty good schedules and have played their hearts out to make it this far. So, this is what people should be expecting for this matchup that begins tomorrow at 9:00 p.m. on ABC.  What to Expect Like what I previously said in the introduction, both teams have played exceptionally well. The Warriors finished with a record of 53-29 and the Celtics finished just two games shy with a record of 51-31. With how well each team has played, this series is going to be something of a series. Each team have efficient scorers with the likes of Steph Curry and Jaylen Brown. Both teams also have great defenses with Draymond and Robert Williams. As a result of this, this series is going to come down to either side of the ball.  Difficulties for Each Team There is always a difficulty that comes with a team, whether that be chemistry or h...

We Are Set

Last night in the NBA was a very important game for two teams. The Celtics and the Heat . This series has kept many NBA fans anticipating whether each team was going to make it to the Finals. With the series tied at 3 games apiece each team was determined to put it all out there on the court.  THIS IS IT! With both teams having stellar seasons, it has come down to this to see who carried more heart than skill into this game. As many fans thought, this series has turned out to be one to remember. Jimmy Butler has showed his amazing talent on the court and also his ability to lead his team this far into the playoffs. On the other hand, Jayson Tatum and the Celtics have been a great team all around. Both on the offensive and defensive side, this team was just unlike any other. In last night's  game, Butler was able to score a good chunk of points, topping off at 35. He had just missed a double-double by a single rebound. Adebayo also had a game last night. Being able to score 25...

FINALS

A s of this weekend, many things have gone down in the NBA. The Warriors were able to dominate the Mavericks in their series, almost sweeping them. As for the other side of the bracket, the Heat and the Celtics are tied at 3 games a piece and put in their all to advance to the NBA finals. After all this being said, let us review these games shall we. Mavericks VS. Warriors As many thought, this series was going to be a blowout. The Warriors have so much talent in Steph , Klay, and Draymond it is a hard force to stop. For the Mavs on the other hand, they truly have Luka to put up a lot of their points. Klay has been an absolute monster during the playoffs. In his last games of each series he has been able to score 30 plus points. Klay was able to shoot 50% from beyond the three point line, and also able to shoot 48% from the field. Steph Curry has also been shooting pretty great as well. He has multiple thirty point games and there was even one game that he was able to get 12 rebounds....

Mock Draft

With the NBA season coming to an end here in the upcoming months, many fans are excited for who they will be seeing entering the 2022 draft . With a lot of great talent coming out the NCAA, this draft class should be full of some pretty great players. Let's talk about a few of these future talents. Paolo Banchero Duke had a pretty good season this season in terms of winning, but sadly they were beaten by UNC. Paolo Banchero was a part of Duke's success this season. Standing at a whopping 6'10" and weighing 250lbs this player was hard to beat in the paint. During the 2021-2022 NCAA season, Banchero was able to average 17.4 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 3.2 assists. These are the kind of numbers many teams are looking for, explaining why many analysts have Banchero going at the number 1 pick overall in the draft. While his numbers do look great, his shooting for these points look great as well. Being able to shoot 47.8% from the field, 33.8% from beyond the arc, and also ...

Conference Finals (So Far)

Since my last post, the NBA Conference Finals have started, and each team are two games in. The Celtics VS. Heat series is pretty even right now, with the Heat only leading by one game, while on the other side, the Warriors are currently up 2 games to none over the Mavericks.  Heat VS. Celtics After coming off a series win over the 76er's , the Heat have been determined to make a march to the NBA finals. Jimmy Butler has been hard to contain, and the Heat defense has been hard to drive by as they can contain the middle very effectively. Unfortunately for the Heat though, Jimmy Butler had to leave game 3 for an injury. So, as of now, Jimmy Butler is questionable for his return to game 4. Bam Adebayo has been putting up some pretty good numbers as well due to the fact Butler is out. For game 3, Bam was the scoring, rebounding and assist leader for his team. A center doing all that kind of work is not heard of a whole lot across the league. On the opposite side of the spectrum, the d...

Conference Finals

This past weekend wrapped up the semifinals and I believe many around the world were surprised to see both the Bucks and Suns both lost in game 7. As a result of these two teams losing, the four teams that have advanced are the Warriors, Mavericks, Celtics, and the Heat.  Warriors VS. Mavericks The Warriors have had a pretty good season this season. They have bounced back since last year from a record of 39-33 and being placed 8th seed in the playoffs eventually losing to the the Lakers in the first round. They finally had the opportunity to have all three of their stars on the floor plus being able to have a rising star in Jordan Poole. This team has always been something different and came out shining with the performance they played last round against the Grizzlies. The Mavericks on the other hand, have a different caliber of talent. Luka has been putting up some great numbers for the Mavs this year in the playoffs. Luka is averaging a solid stat line of 31.5 points a game, 1...

Friend Post: Betting guide to the Western Conference Final Game 1

W hat's going on to all my Hills Highlights fans!        I am excited to post my set of picks for my Drip Picks Blog. Today we are focusing on the exciting Western Conference Finals matchup between the  Mavericks  and  Warriors . This is the game 1 matchup of the Western Conference Finals in Golden State. This is a very intriguing matchup because the Warriors have a much deeper and playoff tested team. The "X" factor coming into this game is Luka Doncic. What I will be doing is discussing which picks I like from each game and a little bit about why I'm choosing them. I will be using a steady bet of $20 dollars for each and every bet and will have a continuing tally of what my wins/losses are currently to date. With that being said let's get right into this... Dallas Mavericks vs. Golden State Warriors T he Dallas Mavericks have been very impressive lately, after dispatching the favorites in the Suns last round I expect a very Competitive Western...

NBA Awards

As I discusses in my prior blog, I had announced who had won the MVP award for the NBA 2021-2022 season. But I feel as though many people do not really look at the other players who had won some other significant awards. So here are just some of the awards that people have won. Ja Morant - MIP No one can argue the fact the Ja Morant has had a stellar season. He has had crazy layups, dunks, and just flashy plays that have kept people entertained. The most surprising thing is the numbers that he put up. Ja was able to amass a career-high 27.4 points a a game. Going with this he averaged 6.7 assists plus 5.7 rebounds a game. He did all of this while being able to shoot 49.3 percent from the field. From last season, he was able to add 8.3 points to his average score and also 4.3 percent on his shooting. He was also able to shoot a career high 34.4 percent from the 3 point line. He posted six games with at least 40 points after having one after only having one 40 point game over his first...

And the Winner is....

As many of you know, there were two main players that were in the race to win MVP this year. Those two player being Nikola Jokic and Joel Embiid. Both players played exceptionally well but only one of them had the talent and enough votes to win it this year. The winner is...... Nikola Jokic  Nikola Jokic has won the 2021-2022 NBA MVP. He had average 27.1 points a game, 13.8 rebounds, and 7.9 assists per game, having one of the all-time great individual seasons. Many people see the reason he had won MVP is because he had led a sixth seed team to the playoffs but unfortunately lost in the first round to the Warriors. Jokic joins the list two win back to back MVP's. Only 13 players have done this in previously to Jokic. Giannis being the most recent. Being able to win two MVP's back to back is pretty tough due to the fact you need to duplicate your numbers from the previous year or improve them even more.  As many fans and players may be happy that Jokic had won the award for the...

76er's Comeback

As the series began, the 76er's had the struggle with not having their MVP Joel Embiid . Due to an injury that he had sustained during the last game of the Raptors series, he had to sit out for the first two games of the Heat series. With Embiid out the 76er's had many struggles. Shooting is Key As the series began, the Sixers seemed nervous going out there. The Sixers were taking too many low percentages especially from beyond the arc. Harden , Green, and Maxey all struggled shooting and it seemed like there were more airballs more than actual threes made. They also drove the lane while all the defenders would condense the paint. This resulted in bad team chemistry and not allowing them to win the first two games of the series. Joel finally returned for games three and four though allowing the Sixers to finally take these two games home. The offense looked more comfortable and finally starting shooting more efficiently. Embiid with his size was able to take control of the pai...

Round Two

T he first round of the playoffs have come to an end and man were they fun to watch. Games like the Grizzlies and Timberwolves , or maybe the Jazz and the Mavericks , have been a thriller to watch. But now it is time to advance to round two. The teams strong enough on the Eastern side are the Celtics , Bucks , Heat , and 76ers . On the whole opposite side in the Western Conference, the teams are the Suns , Mavericks, Warriors , and Grizzlies. So, lets jump into this.  Grizzlies VS. Warriors T his matchup has always been a fun game to watch. With Steph Curry and Ja Morant going at it on a 1 to 1 match up, what else could you ask for. Through game 1, the Warriors were able to take home the win by the skin of their teeth. Klay hit a clutch three, giving the Warriors a one point lead with about 30 seconds left in the game. The Warriors played tough defense and were able to get the ball back and the Grizzlies really had not other choice but to foul. So, Klay had the chance to shoot...

Embiid Out

As many are aware by now, Joel Embiid is in the race to win the MVP title. He has been putting up some great numbers for the Sixers and has lead his team to the semifinals of the playoffs. All this being said, all Sixers were excited to see him advance to the next round to play to play the Heat and hopefully going on to beat them as well. Although many fans were hoping for a good start, the Sixers and their fan base received news that Joel Embiid would miss the first two games of the Heat series.   Siakam's Elbow As the Sixers were to take on their last game of the Sixers vs. Raptors series, Joel Embiid had sustained an injury from Pascal Siakam while he was driving through the lane to get a bucket. As Siakam drove toward the lane, his elbow connected with Embiid's head causing an orbital injury and mild concussion. After this the team had to check to make sure Joel was save to move on and play in the series against Miami. Unfortunately for the Sixer's, Embiid is going to...

Nets Downfall

Many people had anticipation for the Nets this season. Many analysts, fans, and just people thought the Nets were title favorites due to having Kyrie Irving , Kevin Durant , and James Harden , three of the biggest names in the NBA due to superstar skills that they have. There were hopes for this team but they had many downfalls that did not allow them to make that push everyone was hoping for.  No Vax At the beginning of the NBA season, the NBA required all players to get vaccines to go on road games to play depending on where the team is. Most players went out and decided to get vaccinated, but Kyrie Irving did not. Kyrie had to suffer not being able to play at his home court but had the opportunity to play at other teams courts. So, half the games that the Nets played this year, Kyrie was not able to attend. This was an immediate disadvantage because Kyrie is pretty good leader and basically runs the offense due to him being a point guard. Coming down to the end of the regular ...
